What is Kanikapila?
"Kani" - n. Sound or noise of any kind; pitch in music. "Pila" - n. Any string instrument, formerly the fiddle; violin. Eng. Hoʻokani pila, to play music. The common usage of Kanikapila refers to musical jam session for fun.

These are quality, handmade instruments made of the finest woods, both exotic and other excellent tonewoods, blended with extended Aloha from the Big Island.
The Hann Family has a long history in the arts and woodcraft fields. After falling in love with the sound of Hawaii, the first Kanikapila Ukulele went into production, crafted with care by Rick Hann. His instruments are in demand by musicians on the Islands and the main land alike.
